Why Has My Waterman Suddenly Started To Skip?

Tiny thin slices of material are worn off on feed and section....the more one pulls the nib and feed, the more material can be worn off, making for a lesser fit.....

Warranty....is why one has a working second pen.....

Well you have learned a lot.

First thing you learned and quite late, use your warranty first.

You now know how to fiddle 'that' problem with a pen out of warranty.

A pen should be taken apart as little as possible....so look up the problem in the Repair Section first, and in detail before starting.

For C/C pens you now have enough knowledge  ;) .

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

The cheapest lessons are from those who learned expensive lessons. Ignorance is best for learning expensive lessons.

Every time you pull a nib and feed you add unwarranted wear and run the rick of creating yet new problems. Even pens where it is easy to screw out the nib and feed were not meant as a way to clean the pen or as a general practice.

That's not good. I hope I haven't damaged it. It seems to have fit snugly though.

If it's working then all is well.

Well, how is it working? You know, we won't be able to rest until we know that the surgery has been a success.

Sorry for the delay. It's better after all the cleaning, but the ink flow is still clearly disturbed. I've now tested with both cartridge and ink from a new bottle (both Waterman). I think I'm going to send it in for warranty.
