It's a great and - in Germany - very affordable paper.

I use it daily for office work.

 

It is lightweight but not as smooth as Tomoe River.

Found it on Amazon UK. Tried a sample (incomplete) order. Total cost was $89.49 shipped for 2000 A4 sheets (4 reams). So less than Tomoe.

Wow! Great find, I need to keep my eye opn for this. Currently I use Papyrus Opti Premium 90g which is good as well, but heavier, than this.

I have both the 60gsm & 50gsm papers & they are pretty good with fountain pen inks. I write on both sides. But it is a little utilitarian, so for me it's perhaps more suited to office/note-taking purposes than personal correspondence. I think I'm spoilt by Tomoe & other silky textured papers.

It's good value though.

Just re-checking Amazon (US), find it still available for $20.88 + $10.00 shipping, full ream (500 sheets).

I am briefly reviving this thread some five laters later, merely to confirm that the Clairefontaine smart print paper (60g version) is (a) still for sale (btw, the packaging of the ream that I bought looks exactly the same as the picture in the OP), (b) still affordably priced (approx. EUR 7.5 for 500 A4 sheets, bought this week in Brussels, Belgium), and (c) genuinely fountain pen and -ink friendly, I have just tested several pens and inks, including india ink that gushed from a steel nib. Thanks again to @Noihvo for the valuable tip 👍🙌

Thanks for bringing this paper under our attention again. I haven’t used it yet, but it seems quite good value for money. Need to try it out for myself. Where in Brussels did you find yours ? I’m located in Leuven myself, not too far away.
