Pfm-Iv And V Difference: Just The Cap, Right?

Good morning all,

Some days I think my brain is way older than the rest of me...

The difference between the PFM-IV and V is that the IV has the two-tone cap and the V has the gold tone cap, right?

Both pens are the same from nib to metal base plate aren't they?

Thanks!

greg

I though only the V had the gold on the base of the blind cap.

PenHero and PenSpotters (for two) reference the gold plate/ heel on the 4. I'm pretty sure we're solid there.

Thanks, greg

Slightly off topic, do PFM demonstrators ever show up at the major US shows and what kind of price are they fetching these days?

I can only offer one data point. At the LA Show in Feb of this year, I saw three (though probably more were there that I missed,) priced between $700 and $1100.

Best Regards, greg

Thanks Greg, nice to know that they are still showing up. Prices seem reasonable.

I though the the PFM autograph is PFM III with 14 k stamped on the cap band because cap band and clip are solid 14 k gold. Normal plastic Tessie, not the gold plated end.

Thanks Greg for the confirmation. It's always good to be corrected. I haven't seen any PFM autograph and my information was based on Richard Binder's website.
