I started practicing signing stuff when I was 14 and ended up having a signature I like.

What really helped is focusing on the main letters and letting the hand «slide» for the rest of the name.

It absolutely doesn't have to be legible (mine isn't!)

 

As for general handwriting, the resources here are very good. You're in good hands!

Welcome. My great-grandfather immigrated to 'Alberta Country' in 1901. I have enjoyed my time driving across Canada visiting cousins. I remember spending a lot of time in 5th grade trying to improve my signature. 57 yrs later I still am not satisfied with it. Have a grand time search for & buying ink & other supplies.
