I'm not sure this one will have many fans. And I'm not sure how often I'll use it. But it's not without its charm.

A nice blue. Reminds me of "Motherwell Blue" a color from Gauloises cigarette cartons Robert Motherwell used in his paintings and collages.

While I have enjoyed pastelly inks and own a few, I must say this colour does nothing for me.

Thank you for yet another excellent review, though!

Thank you for the review. I have the other Ishida Bungu inks and they are excellent. I'm sure this ink has excellent handling qualities like all other Sailor inks. However, it's not a color that appeals to me, and even so, I'm sure I could find a perfectly decent handling ink in a similar shade from any number of ink makers, and the price would be far less than what I would pay for an ink from a shop in the far north of Japan.

While not a fan, I must confess that it doesn't seem so offensive, now. I see what you mean about the "vintage vibe" (noted on Instagram), it's rather pleasant.

Though I won't use such an ink, I would love to receive a letter written in it.

I know. It threw me too.

Something about it seems light in tone but not too bright. I must stop looking or else I'll start trying to dilute China Blue or something to quell my desire.

Fear not Blue Blacks and murky Greens are here to stay . . . :puddle:
