Thanks for the review. I have a bottle of this and your review is pretty accurate to how it looks for me. I really like this colour.

The praise of the praiseworthy is above all rewards.

... and a lot of the colors come in smaller 30 ml bottles as well as the 80 ml ones (although the price per ml will be higher than in the larger bottles).

Just wanted to check out a thought I had about the pricing of the 30-ml as against the 80-ml bottles of Diamine inks:

If you check out Diamine, Cult Pens, and TWD, the 30-ml Diamine bottles cost in fact merely 5% (for D and CP ) and 7% (for TWD offers) more per ml than the 80-ml bottles do. Those prices (in £ per ml) are as follows:

---------------------

Seller 80 ml 30 ml

---------------------

D 0.085 0.089

---------------------

CP 0.074 0.078

---------------------

TWD 0.073 0.078

---------------------

Of course, the shipping prices (to outside of the UK) as well as the bottle size and bottle material weight itself will mean more ease on shipping the wee ones.

Whee!

Well, fortunately for me, a B&M pen shop opened recently in Pittsburgh and they carry most (if not all) of the Diamine line). But they were still waiting on a shipment from Diamine when I was in there yesterday. So I have to wait longer for a bottle of Oxford Blue. And yes, I'm getting one of the big 80 ml bottles when it comes in....

You are so lucky that one has opened up. So many times in various FPN forums all you hear about is the lack of B&Ms or that they have closed their doors. It's like reading the obituary notices.

This is the new storefront for what used to be xfountainpens.com. They finally opened up around Labor Day weekend, and I've been in a few times now. Every time I think there's at least one other person shopping either when I come in, or shortly thereafter.

Interestingly enough, it's a few blocks away from a couple of stationery stores which also carry some pens and inks: one is sort of eclectic: besides cares and calendars, it sells paperbacks, geek-themed t shirts, and novelty items. For pens, they carry Auroras, and I think Sheaffers, and some overpriced (IMO) Pilot Metropolitans; they have Aurora and some colors of Sheaffer Skrip inks, and also stock Paperblank journals. Around the corner from that place is a a high-end place where you can order wedding invitations and buy fancy designer cards: that place sells Kaweco pens and inks, some colors of J Herbin inks (the 1670 line) and blotter paper, Rhodia, Clairefontaine, and Excompta notebooks and pads, IIRC (along with some other brands).

This new place sells Noodler's, Diamine, Waterman, Lamy and Monteverde inks that I remember, as well as Rhodia and I think Clairefontaine pads.
