Great Grandfather's Old Waterman

Hey there!

So I am new to the world of pens. I was cleaning out my grandmother's house when i came across a collection of antiques that belonged to her father. I dont know much about him, although he was some what wealthy.

Within those antiques were several Waterman Pens. One of them caught my eye.

They all had his name engraved on them but this one, upon further research, i could not find. It is black and gold, and has the number 53 marked on its bottom. Any idea how much it is worth? I see there is no #53 anywhere?

Thanks!

I attached photos as well!

Are you sure it doesn't have 58 on the bottom?

I'm guessing the sac petrified a few decades back? Don't force that lever if it doesn't want to go. No clue as to value, that's outside my collecting parameters, but if you want to have it repaired and you're in the U.S., Ron Zorn of Main Street Pens worked miracles on my grandmother's Waterman that was stored under horrific conditions in a hot attic and got it working for gentle usage.

Can you see what is engraved on the nib (the point)? There is probably a number at the base of the nib near where the black section starts, unless it's covered up. Also, you might measure the length of the pen.
