Yes, some misdirected people call Japan the Land of Rising Sun but here, on FPN, we know hidddent truth. japan is thr Country of Unobtainable Inks.

And, after using the rest of the sample drom Todd today I must admit this ink grew on me. I enjoy it quite a bit. And, guess what, it's unobtainable :/

I wonder how this compares to usagiya Setouchi marine blue?

Was totally thinking the same thing! However, this ink seems to have more belaying green than Setouchi.

Love the shading, but the color doesn't wow me.

Thanks for the review, though -- this is one I can pass on.

The color of Eternal Blue indeed is dependent on the nib. From my Pilot CH 91 SF, this ink almost looks like a blue-black version of Yama-dori. But from my Parker 21 F, it's definitely a lot more blue than green or black. In both pens, the ink behaves excellently. I am going to enjoy this ink a lot!

And YET, less than a year later Atsu has obtained a bottle & offering it for sale on his current Ebay auction under "21tgif!"

I am not sure if it's unobtainable, or it's just on a limited release cycle.

IIRC there was a chat for Bungbox ink release cycle within a year, couple of ink re-release every season, maybe Maruzen is doing the same thing.

Vis, you are welcome. For some reason, I rarely check the Ink Review Forum and am just now seeing this.

Eternal Blue is not a LE ink, but with the recent Sailor ink crazy, it is often sold out. It is a lovely ink. My LE Maruzen Pilot Best Urushi pen from this year's pen event is inked with it. Great combo.
