Muji Order... Exceeded Expectations! Here's Why...

A few months ago I bought MUJI notebooks, a fountain pen, and a re-fillable gel ink pen. MUJI are famous for in-house designed products labeled only MUJI - "No Logo" in Japanese.

 

I needed refills and ordered 5 on ebay @$1.72 ($8.60 total) including postage from Japan. I placed the order on 20 August and received them today, September 8.

 

Here's my reaction: not only is the refill very good, but look at the packaging and the package.

Five individually wrapped and labelled refills in a corrugated oval package. This package then over-wrapped in bubble-wrap and the whole put into a neatly addressed envelope complete with customs declaration. AND inside this package, in addition to the five re-fills, a note from the estore owner, a sample of a bath product, and a chance to win a prize by saving a token until I had three.

 

Now I know the estore wasn't MUJI itself, But the service is as outstanding as the product sold! Here is the site:

I have no connection with the store other than being a customer. But I know service when I see it!

Muji has several stores in the U.S. You can order directly from them and avoid any "extra shipping charges - beyond their usual ones. I ordered stuff several years back (over the phone) and was VERY happy with product, packing and shipping.

 

It's really nice to hear the good stuff about vendors.

I'm lucky to have a MUJI not far from me, in Manhattan. They have great products. There's a kind of minimalist German flair to their offerings. I can't recall the store service, but people were nice (locals, so they were New Yorker's, New Jerseyans).

 

That response from MUJI Japan is mind blowing. I mean... a CUSTOM NOTE? That's amazing, especially considering the cost incurred to them (shipping is not cheap). I may just order from them to have the pleasure of experiencing this myself!

 

Btw, did you place the order with any kind of note to the seller? Was this mujyojapan? Oh wait... you ordered on Aug 20th. It must have been japan-beauty-of-quality.
