Strange pen. How does it write?

Today I was using my Platinum Century 3776 Shiun in UEF inked with Khrishna Anokhi.Good match althrough next ink will probably be Sailor BunguBox Ink of the Witch.

Hello:

I bought that pen for its design and for its resemblance to Parker's 180 range. It hasn't really been used, it's NOS, and I haven't inked it. I'm sorry I can't give details about how it writes.

Had a pen spa day (🫧🖋️🫧) yesterday, and took a snap of three generations of nibs from the Pelikan 400-series pens:

 

From left to right: Early ”script” (or "dotted script", to be more precise) style nib used in the early model 400 pens (1950-1954), then, a ”xmas tree/fir tree/chevron/logo” (yes, many names, that one has) style nib introduced in 1954 used in late-production 400, and the 400N & 400NN models of pens, and finally, a later version of the same used in the very late 400NN (that version of the nib, which left a gap between the chevrons and the nib slit, was produced in 1964, close to the end of production of the 400NN).

 

Oh, yes, they are BB, B, and F, thanks for asking

 

All were received housed in Pelikan 400 (Tortoise, Black-Striped & Green-Striped), some nib swaps must have happened along the way (do also note the different feed in the later nib)...
