I agree on everything, except for getting a Prelude FP for less than $20.

It's true. You can get it now for $27+FS on EBay and last week you could get it for $19.xx + shipping from Judd because it was on sale. I was watching that for a while and all of them are NOS.

Nope. I don't really want to start a collection of Prelude and as a user grade pen, I think you can almost always get used ones off auction for similar prices...........Ok, the true reason was I spent my money on a Parker Vacu. Haha

Thanks everybody for your valuable opinion.I'll definitely pick up a prelude[my choice is 373/340 model] in near future.But today I've purchased a nos sheaffer red 440 fp+bp set[made in australia] which cost just INR 2000.00[approx $30].I'll post the image soon.

They have a few adverts running in the classifieds. Nice pens with the 14k nib. Really wanted 1 or 2 but unfortunately they charge $46 p&p for outside the US. That even more expensive than Ebay 's rip off global shipping...so sadly I wont be buying any. I really don't understand the postage costs as I buy regularly from the US and have never paid that much...nowhere near!

Yeah, obviously the $19.72 one was the last one. I think $58.5 for 14k signature prelude is now the best deal.

I know the store. The problem is their prices - too expensive. The same seller of the Sheaffer sells inks and cartridges for much lower prices, shipping included.
