What a terrific story. Reminds me of when my father first gifted me a MB ballpoint pen. I had no idea of its value but treasured using it because I thought the ballpoint pen was a beautiful and quality pen.

 

Years later my dad gifted me a slim line MB fountain pen. It was a medium nib that never quite fit my writing style so I only used it sparingly. However, I still have it and treasure it to this day as it reminds me of my father. The pen sits in its original box and when I look at it (which is often) it brings a smile to my face.
