Subbu,

That is one extensive set of imagery on the pen. Glad to have someone interpret and explain the iconography. I enjoy the wide center band, and the clip is elegant. Thank you.

The iconography is based on Lord venkateswara, a hindu deity. The temple of lord venkateswara is the most visited religious shrine in the world, and also one of the richest religious institutions. The temple is located in south india, on a hill called tirumala. The 3 symbols belong to him. There is a discus on the left - called the “sudarshana chakra” - which represents the wheel of time (time is considered cyclic in hindu mythology). The conch (panchajanya) represents a cosmic sound, which represents creation.  The central symbol is the 3 pronged tilak...representing birth, life and death all converging together. Assembled together, these symbols mean that he is the absolute master of both space and time.... birth, human existence and death are simply a manifestation of his will.

This would be a very symbolic pen for Hindus.
