This is a photo of my first 146. The nib shows a lot of battle scars but it still performs perfectly.fpn_1479175375__146.jpg

I have always been in awe of my O.B / B nibs and felt that this was the largest I would covet. Or perhaps only a little bit more, if at all.

With the OBBB only being viable on a 149, I figured this is a one-time chance not to be wasted and so I went for it. Later on Solitaires or other LEs I will have the opportunity to get more OBs and OBBs.

And what an exhilarating nib this is! I love it. Every time I stop writing, I just pick it up and have another go.

Tom.. below is a quick shot of the OBBB vs Signature. Should we, next? :)

Oh yeah! I had to gradually adapt my handwriting to accommodate using an Oblique nib and now for the size difference. It is a pleasure most definitely.

I can't imagine 149 with a fine Nib :) Yet I understand majority likes fine or medium for their daily use, But I can't use fine nib !

I converted my 149 from M to B & I love it's ink flow and how it writes and signs..

Second day with 'The Beast'. I hear you, my ink collection is now going to be the subject of new experimentation :)

The thing is, while immensely fun it is taking time to get adjusted to. For a person that likes to use several different pens on the same page, its taking me time to adjust to the one huge line that dwarves even the OB/Bs.

I started with a test flight Royal Blue, Noodler's Old Manhattan Black for a proper vintage/1800s script look, then moved to JFK Navy Blue.
