Best White Paper Lined Ot Dot Journal/notebook

I've read a lot of these threads, but am still not sure what is best. I use a lot of Noodler's ink and have some that bleed through a lot and others that work on even the crappiest of paper. Bleed through and journals that fall apart are my biggest frustration. Up until this point I had been using Miquel Rius’s black soft bound journals, but the last one fell apart before I could fill it and I am very disappointed. I like smooth white paper because it really allows me to see the color of inks. I want something that is acid free and will last 100 years+.

Any suggestions? It needs to be tough I open and close them much and carry them along to many places.

I've read good things about Black and Red, but am not a fan of the color.

Also, I live in the US and can't afford to spend $100+ on a notebook, like the Design Y. I am also not a fan of the Tomoe River paper because of bleed through.

Bleedthrough on Tomoe River? I've only managed that a few times with some really aggressive combinations.

But to answer your question, I'm personally a fan of Maruman Mnemosyne notebooks as well as Clairefontaine cloth bound notebooks for white paper books.

I plan to try the Mnemosyne this weekend. Hope it's as good as they say

My wife and I are both fans of the Mnemosyne line. Lovely stuff.

Writerme - I'm really surprised at the paper trouble you are having. I adore my MR softbound books (I usually buy the red instead of the black). I usually fill one up in about a year and I carry it around and beat the heck out of it. The ones at Barnes and Noble are $10 and have served me very well.

I'm also shocked that you have bleed through with TR paper. I write with really broad wet nibs and then I wash my papers, I don't often get bleed through. PM me with your address and I'll send you a letter with the TR paper and you can try it again.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I had two MR journals before and they were great. I wrote in one for 4 years, though I skipped 2013, so it was really 3 years. They were great quality. This last one though is coming apart at the seam and the paper is coming off the binding. I'm very saddened by this. I thought these journals were great up until now... I have a picture, but can't figure out how to post it.

I will try the above examples and give the TR paper another go. It's been a few years since I tried it.

I bought the Rhodia suggested above, a Black and Red, Maruman Nimoshine, and a TWSBI notebook.

I like Rhodia and Clairefontaine paper.

Rhodia make's a fine notebook but most of their notebooks use ivory paper and not white. I'm including a link to Goulet for white lined/dot Rhodia options. Looks like there are more options than I thought but not many journal style notebooks. Goulet may not carry every Rhodia product but they carry a lot.

If you know exactly what Rhodia you're looking for Amazon is a good store but browsing Amazon for Rhodia is a pain.
