Help Needen Waterman Laureat

My waterman laureat has developed a crack in the front section making it spill ink allover my fingers when using it.

I haver tried glueing it with glue used for model cars which is supposed to weld sections together, I don't know if it would stand the strain on the crack in daily use however.

That is why I am asking if anyone out here would have a complete spare front section with nib for a waterman laureat for sale at a reasonable price?

A front section without nib would not be suitable as I found out my pen does not have a standard Laureat feed.

That's probably the reason why it cracked as somebody has tried to push in a non standard nib and feed with too much force.

Trying to save this one from being scrapped.

I thought that a whole Laureat ought to be reasonably priced on ebay. Actually they are absurdly high priced, unless these pens have become a rare vintage pen. Let us know if you can't find a section from Dutchpen. The cheapest Laureat I saw was this one, in an ebay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/SCARCE-WATERMANS-LAUREAT-MK1-FOUNTAIN-PEN-BROWN-CHEVRON-MED-FIRM-SMOOTH-NIB-/381702916653?hash=item58df444a2d:g:4bQAAOSwdzVXiMoA

Do you know what version you have? Laureat I has a flat cap top. Laureat II has a domed cap top. This manifests itself in the section in that one has the gold trim ring attached to the section, and the other has the gold trim ring attached to the barrel. I believe, though, that I have changed a section to work on the other version by moving the trim ring.

Mine appears to be a Laureat I with the flat cap top

I have managed to repair the pen by glueing the section with glue used for modelkits. This welds the plastic together so that the crack has now disappeared and the pen (for now) isn't leaking anymore - it is not a pretty sight however. I have since also found out that the Amateur who attempted to repair this pen has used a non Laureat Waterman nib with a non standard feed and has crammed this into the section, probably causing the crack by doing this. The way it writes is OK though and comparable to my other Laureat (II).

The pics are from before the repair...

Actually it is still nice looking. I have been reduced myself to cannibalizing a Laureat to make another work.
