I am consistently playing with inks and sparkles, so here are a couple of my best creations.

1. Pilot Kon-peki with pearlescent sparkles. Excellent color, sheen, and shimmer.

2. J. Herbin Vert Olive with pearlescent sparkles. Great for highlighting.

3. de Atramentis Apricot with golden sparkles. In my opinion, better than Diamine's Golden Sands because the color is richer and brighter.

It appears that the glitter ("luster-dust") that I ordered on Amazon is no longer available. :(

I just added a couple of "scoops" (I used largish calligraphy nib to scoop the powder) to a bottle of ink. Easy!

Check online cake and candy supply sites for Luster Dust (I buy it for that purpose, although the local place didn't have Aztec gold in stock the last time I was in). Also, places like Michael's often carry Wilton's version of the stuff in their cake supply department, but I don't like the colors as well.

Oh, and the Kon-peki with dust? Gorgeous!

All of the samples will mail out today. Everyone should have their packages in hand next week. HAVE FUN!!

I am still waiting on a reply for shipping costs, so I'm not sure how many samples will com my way.

I opted for all, but won't fill in the form until the price is known.

Also I seem to have been banned from the conversation.

You have not been banned from the conversation. Amber sent out all the samples by who filled out the form and who had paid for shipping. Unfortunately you hadn't done either of those things. I suggest you pm Amber to see if anything can be worked out for you.

Sinistral1, thank you for the info. I just PM'ed Amber Lea, and I keep my fingers crossed.

For me the waiting with filling out the form was not knowing the shipping costs to the Netherlands. Sometimes the price is so high that it is not sensible to have something sent over.

Here is my first set of ink tests using the Red Camelien set and Tomoe River paper. My overall impression was medium. The colors are glorious...stunning...incredible. The inks flowed well and were easy to clean out of the pen. Unfortunately, they turned my EF cursive italic nib into a bold nib; this set of inks were not suitable for my normal handwriting.

I cropped the pictures and reuploaded for better clarity.

Vorpal, WOW you were fast!

That's shocking that you used a EF and got that result. Any clogging?

Which is your favorite? Looking at them, they all look good, but I think the copper is the prettiest, but it's hard to tell on scans.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I admit that I was rather shocked myself. After I cleaned the pen, I dipped it in Diamine Poppy (or Diamine Matador) and wrote a short sentence so you could see how the ink affected the nib. I couldn't really decide which I liked best...I think the silver followed by the bronze. There was no clogging...but that Platinum has never clogged on me.

I've only tried one of mine so far(velvet black bronze), but I definitely agree on the turning my nib into a bold. The ink flows for days. I had a bit of an issue with some clogging after the pens sat for a while, but a little bit of encouragement got it flowing again. It seems like the ink actually likes to work better on more absorbent paper rather than RHodia and Tomoe River.

Here are the Brilliant Violet samples. Again, the colors are lovely--especially the Silver--but all were too wet for an EF nib. The gold didn't have a great deal of sparkle, and the Copper and Silver colors hadn't dried after 30 seconds. All these tests were on TR paper.

And here are the three Heliogen Green samples. Again, the colors are dazzling...but the heavy, wet flow ensures that I won't actually use these inks in a fountain pen. They do make for sparkly washes, though.
