I think that was the stall I meant. But if I recall correctly, earlier in this thread Ian Williamson offered to email seating plans, which might help to pin the name down.

I know the gentleman you mean, he is lovely I have the seating plan at home jobs can check when I get home. David of William Hannah was the one selling the journals. A great product I own two already.

Inkwellpens, I was 90% sure it was you at some table, I thought I recognised your nails but was too shy to say hello in case I'd got it hopelessly wrong.

One of the highlights of the show was the Jack Row stand, unsurpassed workmanship and beuatiful and stunning pens.

Totally agree. I stopped and had a chat with him. Whilst never in a hundred years could I afford some of his pens I'm thrilled to bits that someone like him (and those Yard O Lead boys and girls) are doing what they do.

Nexy year, should we arrange a time for any FPN members present to assemble at the bar for a drink? If we say 1pm - then it's almost half way through the event, and might make it easier for folk to say hi.

Blown away with the craftsmanship on the Jack Row stand, superb work. also the superlative engineering on the Conids, amazing.

am sure everything I could think of saying has already been said and it's frightening the self discipline needed - within quite a short time it was the bank manager's money I was spending!

Can anyone remind me of the name of the seller on the far side of the room - opposite the first entrance to the hall, and toward one corner - who was offering vast quantities of parts for sale. I did buy from the guy, and his son, and the massive array of spares could keep my repairs going for a long time:)

I'd agree the suggestion of meeting in the pub next year is a good idea.

I'm completely going nuts over work and will be until after the 18th of October, but as soon as that's done I will post my thoughts on the show, pictures of the haul (including writing samples, all but one -which was one that I had and was worked on by Oxonian- are currently inked and in rotation!

 

And the whisky so far has remained Lagavulin 16... Have quite a few others to enjoy too but those DO have to wait until after this heavy work period!

Gotta ask. What is a "No Congestion Charge"?

It's a tax that is charged on work days for entering central London (except for American diplomats who claim diplomatic immunity - while we pay your road tolls). Hence no Congestion Charge on weekends

That I have no problem with. It's the time spent stationary that I object to! 20mph is an ambition most of the time...
