What's Your Favourite Looking Montblanc?

I think the bottom one maybe the 'wedding' pen ? The cap ring looks wider than standard indicating you can unscrew it.

It is indeed, i have two 'wedding' pens, both 146 one resin and that solitaire, and i don't even have plans on getting married soon  but they were at a great price, not much more as the regular ones.

I'm not a special edition guy, but the Hemingway is lovely. Otherwise, I like any plain Meisterstuck with gold or platinum trim. The 139, 146, and 142 come to mind.

I really, really like the understated looks of the old 220.

Of the modern pens...this one! :)

For vintage I'd have to say a 129/139 or anything using vintage lapis celluloid!

Solid 18K white and yellow interleaved gold Solitaire is splendid! I wouldn't mind one of these at all!

And here is a vintage Montblanc 25 Lapis Celluloid.

Since I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, I will show the Proust some love. This is my favorite MB and it comes everywhere with me :happycloud9:

My favorite vintage MB that I unfortunately do not own is the 126PL. (photo is from Pen Cluster)

A few years ago near my work a certain pen shop had this pen on display, "Last of the Bordeaux's" it read. For almost a year I use to walk by the display drooling over it, until one day I couldn't resist no more and brought this gem home. That was a nice friday afternoon. I don't think I got much work done at the office that afternoon. When I'm in the mood for a glass of red wine, I usually bring this little gem out and ink it with Montblanc Burgundy Red as I sip my wine.

That girthy profile magically sets the 149 apart. Very appealing, very special, famous, and possesses an absolute timeless beauty!!!

The red one is probably not a 220 but rather a 221 if it has two cap bands (upper narrow and lower wide at cap lip) or 321 if just one cap band. The 220 was the outlier in the line and had only one cap band (like the 3xx) but came in a brushed Makrolon finish.

The 220 looks very Lamy 2000ish, but more elegant/upscale. When you mention brushed Makrolon finish, even more so. Do you know if the 220 came out before the Lamy 2000 (1966) or did it come after the Lamy? Just curious.

About the same time IIRC. I think it hit the shelves in 1967 or 1968. That was a long time ago though but was while I was living in California.

I had to take a screen shot of this one. I think it's called 1912. I'm not sure. It's still my Fav MB.

Oops, I was wrong. It's a 1914, not a 1912. I'm surprised no one caught that

I have always liked the 144 in bordeaux, since I bought my first one in 1983. It's simply styled and the color is beautiful.
