What's Your Favourite Looking Montblanc?

A blast from the past..!! What a thread. Very nice pieces you see here. From Page 1 I got face to face with my Genghis Khan, which I recently arranged to trade for something else.

I wonder if people's tastes change over time. If we were to re-participate in this thread what would we come up with?

Taste may change but also new pens are made...

This is a new fav of me: Kepler 39

What a pen Axis! Congrats. It is good to see sometime photos of the excellent work done by artisan of MB

Thank you for writing that.

I feel likewise.

The most sophisticated Montblanc pen designs broaden my taste.

Amazing Axis! Congratulations :) It is a piece of art this pen.

Having been sat down and told about every angle behind the production of the recent Hannibal, I would be very curious to hear the story of this Kepler also.

Maybe we should have a competition one day, a thread where one member displays a Limited Edition piece and the members have to tear it down to guess where the inspirations came from?

Hmm...

That sounds like fun!

It would be educational and develop observational skills.

For someone lacking experience, like yours truly, it would be useful to guess which Limited Edition it is (no clues offered) and what year issued.

I seldom know that, so would benefit from the challenge.

In a safari Web site, they play a similar game with less common avian species.

Thank you for suggesting this. I like it!

These press pictures don't do justice to the pen, as you can see in my real life pictures. I actually only started to love it when seeing it in reality...

Yes it is often the case but the article explain the pens that is what I found interesting.

The above posts are all a pleasure to read & witness the joy that each poster finds in each of the pens. I appreciate it's being available for those of us who are "just visitors;" I only have & have only seen my two 146s & sadly both in black. BUT they each have different nibs & are always a pleasure to use.

Leonardo and Sforza, the idea of having the pair just seems fitting. And the 90yr skeleton.

The Hitchcock is crazy in person, gave me some what of vertigo.

My 146 UB will always be a favorite as it was my first ever MB.

I had no idea Montblanc did a Beethoven Symphony No 9 pen in solid gold. My fave composer.

I believe there are only 9 pieces available each in yellow and white gold, and go for a cool $99,000.

This one will go down on my unattainable grail pen category, only if it's available in an oblique broad nib.

Let's say hypothetically you buy a pen for 30 grand.

Would you write with it?

~ Memorexx:

Yes.
