Looks like M Renga is slightly more orange than K Renga.

Yes, a little. You'll notice the difference easily when they are side by side, but difficult when they aren't.

What's that?

Just an AWESOME thread... that shows off inks that are so similar they can be call "twins"... The purpose of the thread is to find duplicate inks to those hard to find/expensive/unobtainable inks out there.

They don't have to be identical.. but we all know that paper/pen/inkflow plays a big part on how an ink looks. The doppelganger inks with the right configuration of paper/pen/flow, can be so close.. that you can fool people into thinking you have the "other" ink..

Mew-

What's the difference writing-wise?

I dip tested in both case, and there was no difference writing-wise, at least I didn't feel any.

Done. I'd say maruzen renga might be a bit harder to get as compared to Kobe renga. But Nagasawa Kobe ships internationally.

I bought my maruzen renga bottles more than an year ago (I have 2) and those were the last ones in the shop.

  • 2 years later...

The Maruzen/Kobe Renga doppelgänger comparison image has disappeared from this and the Doppelgänger thread. :bawl:

Any of you lovely inkaholics have a side by side to show? And/or any other doppelgänger that might have arisen in the interim?

Not being able to see them side by side I think I prefer the Maruzen as being a bit "brighter."

Thanks!!

Add lightness and simplicate.
