Back From Germany!

Recommended Posts

Bought this from the MB Boutique, but they had to send it off to Germany for a nib exchange; I like Fine nibs. Just got it back recently.

Duke of Milan 4810.

Any votes for which ink I should use in it for its first trial?

Maybe a dark grey ink to pick up the color of the silver parts?

For me personally, it could only be a Montblanc ink: Montblanc Black or Oyster Grey maybe? Or completely off the wall with Mb Corn Poppy Red. :D

Ok, I was too late to vote, but for the second fill, what about Blue Hour blue that came out last year?

You know, a "limited" ink for a "limited" pen. ;)

Sadly, I never got any Blue Hour ink.

But the "limited' nature of the ink is why I used the Balzac Dandy Tourquoise. It is one of my favorite inks, and I have been hoarding it. After I filled it, I started kicking myself for not using the Einstein grey ink, another of my hoarded inks.

I am not a fan of the Einstein ink as i found it a bit boring. A pen that nice deserves a bit more pop from the ink.

The Blue Hour ink is still possible to find. Just poke around a bit.

Diamine Tyrian Purple, a royal choice.

OK! I think I located some at Farney's Pens online.

I use in my Sforza Oyster Grey. it´s a perfect combination!

Good thought, but I passed at buying the Oyster Grey last time at the boutique.

I have to admit, I'm a little top-heavy on various blue inks.
