Would Lady Patricia pens manufactured in the USA, Canada, England or other countries have been issued with a nib stamped 'Unique Medium' i.e. no Waterman's stamp. I do not have a picture of the nib in question...yet.

Also, is this Moss Agate or Nacre (sellers very poor picture)

thanks

Hi Force,

Sounds like a replacement nib. I know of no Lady Patricia pens issued with non-Waterman nibs.

Yes, Moss Agate.

Best Regards, greg

Thank you. I thought as much. The seller is being very cagey about the pen especially the nib.

Cagey seller + blurry photo = probably a bad idea.

Unless, that is, the price is really reasonable. Replacement nibs (Waterman #2?) are still out there. I have a Moss Agate Lady Pat with a fine manifold nib. I wove an imaginary life for the pen's previous owner making her a well paid book-keeper, as it wasn't a cheap pen back then.

Sure, if the price is really nice, then a gamble might be in order. I've made a few over the years, but have not always made out. The Jade below was my best gamble. Terrible photo, and no response from the seller, but I took a shot.

Great collection of pens.

In my case the seller was a chancer. The listing has now been removed.

That is too bad, Force. But better to find out before you send the money.

Todd, the pen sort of belongs. It is effectively a Lady Patricia, just badged differently. :)

Too bad, i'm sorry..
I like to gamble on this kind of insertions too, since i've not all that money to invest on my collection and i like the feeling of having bought something i can assume is a better pen of what photos/descriptions tells me..
Sometimes it goes well sometimes not so.. but if the price was reasonable, a Waterman's Patrician is a commit someone can assume ;)
