Received my pen last week; there had been a delay due to of a mistake by the local postal service. Would have written sooner but it's difficult for me to put the pen down. The flex nib is great, writes quite smoothly with no adjustment required.

I filled it with Diamine Meadow (nice shading) and am looking forward to showing it off at tonight's pen club gathering.

My Ranga Bamboo regular size arrived (finally) today - blue-and-orange, bakul finish. I've just screwed in the JoWo nib unit I purchased from fpnibs.com (with Architect custom grind). An absolutely beautiful pen, and a fantastic nib to go with it - I'm so pleased with the result. Thanks @Mehandiratta and Mr Kandan for organising this group buy!

And here's the pen uncapped to show off the nib:

I've just got my demonstrator with flex nib. I opted to have bakul ends as well as body and I'm not sure I did the right thing, looking at the pictures of those with polished ends.... still, it's different! Filled up with Diamine Havasu Turquoise, similar to the colour of the box the pen came in.

Right out of the box - it's comfortable! it's really comfortable! And the nib flexes, though not so much that if I want to, I can't write without flex. I really rather like the nib - it's completely plain, apart from the slit which goes all the way to the section.

By the way, Mr Kandan also kindly included the standard nib and feed should I want to swap them, or fit another pen. That's a nice touch. Thank you Ranga Pens!

Too many pens, too little time!

I liked yours with Bakul finials than the polished finials one. Nice pen. Thanks for sharing.

It may be a stormy day, but the post still delivered.

With a #6 nib and freshly filled with Emeraude de Chivor, I now have a wonderful new writer.

Thank you Mr. Kandan and thank you Vaibhav for organizing this group buy.

Nice picture....For a second I thought it was a SIX FEET long pen resting against a door frame.... :yikes:

My Bamboo pen has arrived. I was surprised to see that the Ebonite color is drastically different from that on the image. I had selected #11 from the new SR series and it doesn't look very close to that at all. I am not saying it's not beautiful because any Ebonite IS, it just doesn't match the expectations and I need to readjust.

The pen is well made, the threads are amazing as they are on my Ranga Duofold and the nib is great as well. I am going to adjust my feed, equip a fude nib and I suspect the pen is going to become a true workhorse. A review is coming once I used the pen long enough so I can confidently comment on all the features and my experience.

All in all, a wonderful pen, I'm happy with it and looking forward to any future Rangas I may try. A thank you goes to both Mr.Vaibhav and Mr.Kandhan for bringing us these lovely pens.

Some images follow.

my pen arrived more than a week ago, sorry for not posting earlier, but I immediately put it to work...at work.

After some surprices on the colours of the regular ebonite in previous Ranga group buys I decided to play it safe and ordered the clear demo.

The first thing I have to say about this pen is that besides its looks, it is really a comfortable shape and size (my size is the regular bamboo not the giant). It feels really well balanced in the hand, and although still being a fairly big pen, the slightly smaller section helps to hold it comfortably, especially since I do not have very large hands. Moreover the section length which is longer than average helps not to place your fingers on the threads as you write (at last! good design Ranga!). In addition the bamboo wavy pattern also sort of helps the pen to fall well in the hand, and lastly the satin finish is just pure pleasure to the touch.

The nib is a regular Jowo steel B, which arrived in very good shape (regular flow, no skipping, hard start or any other issues) and after a short run of figures of 8 on a micromesh 12000 it now runs also extremly smooth.

I took out the converter, washed the pen with soap, rinsed thoroughly, added silicon grease to the barrel threads and also to the nib threads,

filled it up with JHerbin Eclat de Saphir ink and was ready to go.
As ED it holds a huge amount of ink! (I did not fill it completely but I measured by comparison it could hold at least 6-7 ml!)

At the office I did get quite a few "what's that?" remarks first, and then some "oh, nice!" also...

Honestly some I caused in one of the meetings, but really could not stop playing around with it and turning the pen in my hands to see the ink swirl inside!

The looks are really nice. As already well captured in some previous photos the translucent material emphasizes the colour of the ink you put inside, making it look very different depending on the ink, while the clear ends pick up the light! (although my pen was almost empty when I took the photos...)

One very small issue is I find some ink inside the cap at times, it might be that I did not put enough silicon in the nib threads inside the section.

I will check it, although I also tend to put it in a protective sleve and just thow it inside my bag to and from work...where it may be getting a rough ride on the bus...!

All in all, I am really happy with the final result of this pen and thanks Ranga again!

My standard Ranga bamboo arrived!! It's really gorgeous... The polished finnials make a contrast with the bakul body and cap :)

I haven't inked it already, but I wanted to show you what a beauty I have at home:

Thank you very much for this opportunity and for the detail included :)

I received mine as well, picked it up at the post office last week. Still trying to decide what ink will go in there... and actually enjoying the anticipation!

No pictures yet, as mine has the bakul finish and polished finials, that have been shown on here already... but once it's got ink, I hope to photograph it...
