Seitz Kreuznach Indian Summer Orange

I hate this colour. I dislike pale orange colours. This one is exactly one of such colours: pale, unsaturated, pastel. Sure, where the ink pools and shades it's a rather nice reddish colour, but most of the time it's a kind of colour that reminds me of a Band-Aid.

Splash

(photo, scan. The splashes beautify any ugly ink.)

Sample

(Quite some shading. I'm using a Sailor 1911 Naginata Togi which is not a dry pen at all. The paper is Maruman.)

(Cyber6 suggests using it on a creamy paper. This is Tomoe River ivory paper.)

Compare

(I'll take the last two happily. I dislike Orange indien too. Not that I have anything against Indian people. :D )

What is the blue ink you are using to label the orange inks. That's my kind of blue!

Doesn't look like any Indian summer I've ever seen....

I love it. Beautiful! Of course I am color blind. Still, I love it.

Not sure what there is to hate about this color. But that's why there are 1,000,000 inks to choose from these days.
