I have a suggestion for a name of this experimental ink.

"Midas Touch."

Appropriate I believe.

My first purchase would be a bottle each of "Green Gold, Midas Touch and Aztec Gold" I think.

Okay, I give up, which ink is it?

We should continue this thread with posts of inks which all other should guess on. The winner gets to post a new ink which we should guess on, and so on...

So, did this turn out to be IG Aztec Gold (which wasn't in production until recently)?

Not at all.. Aztec Gold is an IGL (Iron Gall Light)... this one is a standard ink. I believe this turn out to be "El Dorado"... If I am not mistaken of course. ;)

I am waiting to hear about it... It was released at the Poland Pen Show.

Hi, sorry for confusions!

As I wrote before, the original ink, showed in the discussed photo, was an experimental modification of IG Gold, so it was iron gall one BUT it looked almost exactly as Old Gold of a Standard type.

The new Aztec Gold IGL was designed to look like Old Gold or Honey but perform some water resistance - it was created due many requests. It is very close to the ink on the photo and it is possible to make such a shading with it.

Aztec Gold IGL at the moment of writing is a sunny-yellow shade and when it dries it turns to golden shade (it darkens as usually IG inks do but not as much as IG Gold due to lower iron gall component content).

The new standard type El Dorado is a sunny yellow one, the shade is similar to fresh Aztec Gold. El Dorado is also a bit tricky, because it has some magic - while writing it is more yellow and after it dries it shows some orange shades :D We just love playing with colors and love all the surprise that an ink can give :)

El Dorado was released diring Fountain Pen Day event in Warsaw (Pen Show Poland is a different event, different city, different time) and @Visvamitra got it, so let's hope for a review soon :) You can see some pictures on our FB profile.
