My sample did not impress me with a dark color, it was light. The flow was intermittent and seemed to dry quickly in the nib. I used a Sheaffer Prelude with a Medium nib that loves any ink. Tried another pen and blah. My experience represents a sample of one.

 

I get the impression others are quite pleased with color and flow.
