Hello MB collectors,

I am not very well versed in Monblanc pens. I own a 146 and two 144's, but I have a question about another pen I was about to buy...but it smells funny (not literally. I mean I have an uneducated hunch.) For starters, I have never seen a Starwalker in red, but as I said, I know little about MB's.
Is this a real Montblanc? Is it so obviously Fraudulent that you can tell from these pictures? Would love to hear anything anyone can tell me.
Many Thanks,
Professor B

Yes it is so obviously fraudulent that you can tell from those pictures. Nib shouts "FAKE". Body color shouts "FAKE". Clip shout "FAKE". Snow shouts "FAKE". End piece on body shouts "FAKE". Box shouts "FAKE". ...

Absolutely fake. Montblanc never made a Starwalker this colour, nor one that takes a converter. Nor is that nib or box anything like the Montblanc versions.

Normally a strong telltale sign i have found for starwalkers is to look at the floating star, the fake ones have a "rounded star" kind of design, and the real ones have straight lines at the edge. Kind of hard to explain but a real one should be very well defined.

I believe I saw a flower petal instead of a snowcap!

Haha i guess that would make it a fleurblanc instead of a montblanc?

Hilarious responses! Thanks, all. Without identifying anyone, I sent along some of the quotes, and the person trying to sell that thing as a Montblanc crawled away with his tail between his legs.

The nib says "iridium point Germany".

"how do I know what I think until I write it down?"
