Pentel 70Years Anniversary Products?

Recommended Posts

It just occurred to me that Pentel counts 70 years in business this year.

Is anyone aware of any plans for any special edition anniversary products, reintroduction of older models or anything like that?

I did a quick web search and wasn´t able to find any relevant information, so I thought I should ask FPN fellows for some help, especially those who are not restricted by the language barrier. :)

Thanks in advance!

I haven't heard anything, but some of my first exposure to any "cool" writing instruments were their P20x mechanical pencils.

I would LOVE to see a sterling P205 LE mechanical pencil as a 70th Anniversary Edition. (or Ti, or any other cool metal version of the classic MP.)

Best Regards, greg

Don't feel bad. I'm old; I'm meh about most things.

When posting this thread I was thinking of the Excalibur pencil they used to offer. I´d really like to try one of those.

Your idea though is VERY interesting. A solid metal P20x would be fantastic. In fact, I am wondering how there hasn´t been a Kickstarter project yet.

I would also be interested in a ballpoint/gelpen version of the P200 or the Kerry, too.

  • 3 months later...

October 5 Pentel introduced Energel Philography... as far as my eyes can tell the big names in Japan has given all of their signature pens an "executive" look

when I say executive look

Uniball Jetstream Prime (RT jetstream refill in a metal body)

Pilot Acro Drive which is Acroball in a different body but doesnt use the same refill as the Acroball

Zebra Sarasa Grand (Sarasa features and refill with a metal body)

Pentel Energel Philography (a twist based mechanism with Energel Refill)
