I take issue with them on that, it's my favorite ink color. What about you, do you have a fave ink color which is not universally loved? Puce? Chartreuse? C'mon, spill the livid beans.

I've got to say, maybe seven studies wasn't enough to determine any kind of superlative. Especially on something as subjective as color.

 

I like that color, but it does look a little icky next to red. It's always about what you put it next to.

 

Then again, I love neon yellow and chartreuse (sometimes next to each other).

IBM did a large amount of research in to this during the 1970s. The colour they came up with was closer to a (bleep) yellow/brown than the one above. The reason ... all IBM server power buttons were made that colour until the 2000s as it was the least likely colour people would have an impulse to press, unlike red.

I have a love/hate relationship with Noodler's El Lawrence. If it's not shaken very hard, it comes out an icky yellow green.

Hmm . . . not the ugliest color . . . but . . .

If I came across a car painted in that color, I probably would question the taste of that car's owner. But I am quite sure it would be good as an ink - subdued, yet still easy-to-read. Add some shading, and most people would like that ink.

Looks like a mixture of Verde Muschiato and Vert Empire - and I have both! I think it looks quite elegant.

 

Black on white might be a better metaphor for the stark horrors smoking brings.

I thought it was similar to KWZ Foggy Green.

They went on to name every other ugly color that I happen to love.
