I have been patiently waiting for my pen since the order date - 15/06/16. But now its 07/07/16 as of today and my patience has started to wear thin. I am disappointed that ASA takes that long to ship a pen. Anyway, still waiting on the order :)

That's what I mean :) Their service is really slow :) or maybe I'm used to E-bay/Flipkart/Snapdeal delivery speed :P

I think it's due to very high number of orders received in group buy. Pens are being manufactured, tested and shipped so it's taking bit more time. 125 orders were received on first day itself and total over 200 orders. You don't expect that much quantity ready before hand or made ready in few days if product is handmade.

I'm willing to give bit more slack as ASA is a venture by one or two and if they rush I fear the quality of pen out of the box may suffer.

So I'm OK provided the pen work out of the box like a marvel

The pens are handmade to order. It is pretty clear from the opening post that the pens will be constructed in this manner. People have unrealistic expectations. I am very happy to wait for a hand turned, newly designed Asa pen which is thoughtfully developed and constructed and not rushed with flaws. If you want a pen in a few days then there are plenty to purchase off the shelf.

I'm not patient and I want the pen as soon as possible. I haven't received any email yet and I placed my order on June, 4. But I knew, because I read, that it would take this long to receive the pen as it had to be made and individually tuned and tested.

i can't understand those who complain about the service. Are you complaining about your pen being individually tested and tuned for a great writing experience out of the box?

Be patient bro .. these pens are hand made ,hand tested ,fitted to give you best experience.. it takes time .. take up an project of something making by hand you'll understand too . ASA is not a big company with thousands of employees turning CNC machine to make pens it's more like subbu sir and few making pens in their back yard piece by piece hand crafted ,so that you can have a good experience out of the box ..

ALWAYS LOOKING FOR INDIAN PENS .. IF YOU HAVE ANY KINDLY PM ME..

Mine arrived today!

Here are the unboxing photos.

This first one below is the protective plastic sleeve that I found inside the mailing envelope. I must say this was very nicely packaged.

Below you will see the lovely black velvet bag for the pen.

Below is the pen, in another protective sleeve, along with the plastic pipette and a spare nib (also in the protective sleeve).

This is truly a beautiful pen and well worth the wait. It seems that the threads are already covered with silicone grease. Now, all I need to do is figure out which ink will enliven this pen the most.

Thank you to everyone who helped with this group buy. I am most impressed with the pen already.

Best,

Happiness is a handmade Indian eyedropper demonstrator. Yes, it truly is.

It is a little large for my hand, yet it has a good weight and balance when unposted. It wrote straight away and continues to write with no hesitation. The nib is smooth and about a medium; some line variation can be brought forth too. I love the feel of this pen in my hand, the texture is smooth and pleasing but not slippery. And the looks! This is a beauty to behold.

Good news is that mine has arrived at the mail depot.

Bad news is that I hadn't noticed that my ID card had expired a few days previously so now I can't collect it until I've received the new card :headsmack:

Yes there is a spare nib. You can barely see it on the very left of the third and fourth photos from the bottom. It is in a small cellophane bag. I didn't photograph it separately. But it is there!
