Nurebairo - Kyo No Oto

I remember Kingdom Note Stag Beetle (Dorcus hopei binodulosus) being more interesting with the green sheen. I did like it enough to get a bottle.

I got a sample of Stag Beetle... don't remember being impressed by it. Maybe I need to get it out and play with it again. ;)

Vis, thank you for the wonderful and thorough reviews.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I'm a pen guy, but for some reason this ink ended up in my studio. I started using it to apply washes to charcoal drawings. The black has an indigo undertone that contrasts nicely with carbon black. It's also blackout-black, unlike Higgins brand, for example. Watered down, it produces a dusky blue. On the right paper, I get plenty of sheen. I've started using it so much that I ordered two more bottles.

It stains my hands quite badly, so I won't use it in my expensive pens.
