Old And Vintage Inks Findings

Today I was visiting a store that only sells old stuff, not really an antiquary, more like an hoarder that buys and resells old things that many could tought of as complete junk. There I found and bought 15 packs of fountain pen ink cartridges for the grand total of 2 Euros. I wouldn't qualify these inks as vintage, although they are old. However, the ink in the cartridges seems to be in good shape, no evaporation signs or whatsoever.

I thought it could be neat to have a topic where to show and discuss these kind of findings. So, what do you think of my latest acquisitions?

Nice findings.

Do you have the pens suitable for them?

I do, yes, although I'm considering to use a syringe to transfer the ink to the converter of a cheap pen such as a Jinhao or a Hero, for a test drive.

Edit: the Waterman cartridges are long International Standard.

I believe the Waterman cartridges are for the Waterman CF pen.

At first look they seemed like standard international long cartridges, but I think you are right, yes. I don't have any Waterman CF pen.

Nice finds! You may not have a CF pen but if you ever find one you will be very glad to have those cartridges! Cartridges or convertors for the CF are notoriously hard to find today.

At a garage sale recently I found a boxed full bottle of Sheaffer Skrip Washable Blue, one of my all-time favourites and long discontinued. It is in perfect shape. Box markings indicate it is from between 1966 and 1976.

While not a find per se, I do have a rather large amount of old ink.

It all belonged to my great-grandfather when he worked as a court reporter.
