Jpierson, do you own any "regular" Falcon nibs, and, if so, how would you say your FA on the 845 compares to them?

The Black is a medium. Figured I would keep the classic color with a classic nib.

I have used a Falcon nib. I feel like they are just a very soft nib and not a flexible nib. Saying that, I do not feel the FA is a flex nib when compared to a vintage Waterman flexible nib.

This arrived today (well arrived yesterday at work, but as I'm working from home due to an injury I had to get a colleague to pick it up for me and bring it around this morning).

Nice choice.

Thanks for the comment about the FA nib. Given this comment and the fact that I already have 3 Falcon nibs, I think I'm going to going with the medium when I get my 845.

Not really urushi - but I lacquered an ebonite fountain pen using french lacquer - the whole experimentation took me almost 1 year ( this is the third prototype and last one ) but did cost me maybe 1 / 10 of an Empereor

Next experimentation will have red ebonite base - and maybe a Platinum 3776 nib.

As moderator I modified the topic as there is no need for an Official such thread. An Official thread would need to be approved by the moderators anyway.

Urushi is ubiquitous to many Japanese pens. As such, a separate 'thread' is not necessary.

If the desire is to show off pens with an urushi coating, please do so.
