Cigar and rikyu-cha are both very paper-dependent.

I've tried them on two types of paper, and they almost look like totally different ink:

(posting with my cellphone, not sure if the link works:P)

How true! How true.

 

Many believe this ink to be only brown when dried, though Cigar is more faceted; contingent on paper and pen.
