Matte #13 Blue Ripple

Ambitious 35mm nib

Chrome Silver Clip.

Paypal sent to Mr. MP Kandan. :)

(P.S.- This might not be the best place to ask, but does the eyedropper version of this pen need an o-ring or silicone grease on the threads to prevent leaks?)

Thanks very much. PM sent. Our pen comes with Silicon Grease. Our pens are leak proof.

I received my both pens today. Pens are very well made, nice black matte finish. I just dip tested and both are smooth out of the box and write in extra fine and fine widths as I expected. I will post the pictures soon after rinsing and inking. And both pens are uncapped in 1.5 turns.

Eagerly waiting for your pictures sir

@prashant.. great pics.. nice pen

Thanks Jai. The pen is so beautifuly finished that one cannot believe that it is handmade. Threads ( cap and section both) are also skillfully cut and are smooth to operate. Dual tone jowo nibs are also beautiful. Size and shape of the pen is just perfect to my liking and these pens are not going to be out of rotation ever. Thanks to Vaibhav and Kandan for this group buy. And salute to craftsmanship of Mr. Pandurangan. I am going to buy more Ranga pens for sure.

The last time I ordered from a Ranga Group Buy (it was the Model 4C) I got a cartridge/converter, but it was still prepared with silicone grease on the threads. It also had a lot of threads on the section-barrel connection, and I now prefer to use it as an eyedropper rather than with the converter. I would expect the same from the Model 8.

Yes you are right. Today I received my both Ranga model no 8 C/C pens with silicon grease applied on section threads. Couple of eyedroppers were also included in box. Schmidt convertors were also supplied with the pens.

I delight knowing that the pens are already making their way into your hands. And, I'm happy for the photos too. Mine will take a little longer to arrive, yet I hope you all will keep sharing photos and impressions.

This will be my first Indian pen except for the nameless cartridge fountain pen I used to have from the corner stationary shop; I gave it away before I left Kolkata. This will be my first eyedropper pen too.

What service that the threads have silicone grease on them already and droppers are also included.

Looking forward to mine. Perhaps by then, I will have learned how to upload images and will share the unboxing with you.

Best,

AD

I don't need another pen; I am still learning and enjoying the two Ranga model 8's I bought earlier this year.

Per email from Mr. Kandan, I would like to order just some Ambitious nibs, please. I would like 2 each of 35mm and 40mm.

Thank you.

I must thank all and Mr. Kandan for this successful group buy...

We are midway through the group buy and would recommend other who have not ordered to register at earliest as the certain nibs are limited in nos.
