Vintage Pelikan 4001 Ink, Need Help Identifying

What's the confusion? It says right on the bottle: the ink is bluish.

It's iron gall ink. Called "Dokumententinte" by Pelikan.

I would not use this, neither in a modern nor vintage pen.

Would it be worth it to purchase the bottle (not for use) but as a collectible?

If you are interested in vintage ink bottles or are a collector of Pelikan related items, why not. But only if the price is right. I would not pay more than $10.

Older stock of pelikan dokumentenechte Tinte (ink for documents) with iron gall. Colour should be something like blue black, going down to paper blueish, then turning black, as it says on the bottle. I wouldnt put it in a fountain pen that has any kind of value. For me the bottle would be worth 5 Euros. But to a collector of vintage bottles or inks, might be worth more.
