So three new inks were added to Chesterfield's Antique line-- Antique Raven, Antique Mariner, and Antique Walnut.

What do you guys think? I'm not a blue-ink person, but that Mariner looks pretty appealing. Judging by the swabs provided online, how do you think Raven and Walnut compare to maybe some of the greys from the Iroshizuku inks or other ink brands?

Inks (Always willing to trade samples, PM me!): Noodler's Rome Burning, Noodler's Henry Hudson Blue, , J. Herbin Poussiere de Lune, P.W. Akkerman Laan Van Nieuw Oost-Indigo, Chesterfield Antique Slate, Chesterfield Antique Shamrock, Chesterfield Antique Jade, Chesterfield Antique Orchid, Chesterfield Capri, De Atramentis Apricot, De Atramentis Alexander Hamilton, J. Herbin Rouge Hematite (sans gold), Organics Studio Willow Green, Sailor Storia Magic Purple, Sailor Tokiwa-Matsu, Diamine Eau De Nil, Franklin-Christoph Midnight Emerald, Franklin-Christoph Black Cherry

I'm thinking Cacao du Bresil for the Walnut, but just from the swatch, don't have any myself.

The Raven I guess is for people who thought Slate was too dark? I'm not generally a grey ink guy but the Slate somehow avoids looking like just a watered down black. For $15, I'll probably just order the trio for completionist's sake, as I have all the others. Might get Teal as well to see how it differs from Mariner. Their web swatches aren't the best.

The $5 sale covers the Archival Vault 50mL. Don't really need another, having ESSRI and Salix, but tempting.

I ended up caving in and buying the Mariner-- will maybe post a comparison to Pelikan Edelstein Aquamarine once it arrives (the only sample of teal ink I have)

Just got in the latest shipment and here are the new colors by themselves:

And the full Chesterfield sheet with a few Diamine colors. The Diamine Teal, Monaco Red, and Orange look close enough to call identical to Teal, Siam, and Fire Opal.

These are 3100K WB in halogen light. I'll get a daylight photo soon.

Siam. Reminds me of the line in One Night in Bangkok. https://youtu.be/rgc_LRjlbTU?t=2m38s

Having just received my own bottle of Mariner I have to say it definitely was a lot more blue than I was expecting. Still a lovely color though, will have to do some comparisons when I get back to the rest of my samples collection.

I ordered the Teal half to see how it compared to Mariner and half to compare it to Diamine Teal. If anything, Mariner is a less-grey and a bit greener version of Sodalite. It's not very green, whereas Teal is a blue-green a lot more like the seawater around the North Carolina coast.

Here are the sunlight exposure results (7100K by the camera's measurement):

Focus on the new colors. Surprise here is Raven is darker than Slate, whereas the company swatches show the opposite:

I just got a bottle of Antique Mariner and so far it seems very similar to Tsuki-yo yo me, only a little less bright. I'm very happy with it.

Lighter, and the hue's in the ballpark, but a definite step towards green.
