The Hemingway Photo Thread

Here is a quick shot from the desk today showing the Hemi with a young upstart from that other famous pen company in Germany. Of course the Hemi has more charm, character, girth, and nib, but the Pel makes it so easy to swap nibs and that is a big plus for me.

Nice! What nib do you use in the Pelikan?

@PhilH - right now and IB from another pen. I like broad nibs. :)

I agree: the Big Red Parker is the progenitor of the red/coral Hemingway design. My Big Red with the Mottishaw-mod broad nib is one of my favorites!

Reviving the thread after long time, but I inked today my Hemingway with Diamine Safari, and I was really happy to have her in my hand.

I wasn't aware of this post so few pictures of my Hemingway I received few weeks ago with a F nib (or maybe EF):

And some writing exemple with it and Royal Blue ink:

I'm searching which ink I could use with this famous pen I have in my collection (JFK, Miles Davis, Royal Blue, Permanent Black, UNICEF, Irish Green, Shakespeare, Lavender Purple, Lucky Orange, Saint-Exupéry) or another one... If you have some ideas/propositions they are welcome :)

It's nice to see the Hemingway back in action after your Montegrappa excursion.

Thank you, zadding. The Hemy, one among a 149, 146 or Mozart, and one or two Monty Extra are very often sharing my desktop together.

Congratulations, Cyrille, for your flamant new Hemingway. It is a pen you will never bored of, which I am sure will take a special place on your writing habits.

After trying a lot of inks and different colors, my Hemingway is now almost permanently inked with Diamine 150th Anniversary Safari ink. I like the reddish, dark tones of this green ink, and I really like the association between the name of the pen and that of the ink: Hemingway and Safari made a quite sound couple...
