I had read that before, it only talks about snorkel nibs.

It specifically discusses the '1' nib type code you asked about, which is not a Snorkel nib.

I wanted to know what S1 means on the pen I have bought, I have a 14k inlaid stub while it refers to it as a steel open nib.

Note that the chalk mark on your pen appears to say "S/1", not "S1". It is not an etched nib code, nor is the "1" necessarily a nib type code (assuming it's a "1" and not an "I" or an "L").

 

In what country were these pens intended to be retailed?

Yes it's S/1, I have included another pic which shows the whole tray with a few of them showing the chalk marks to confirm the 1 notation.

I am not sure which country they were meant to be retailed at but I can ask and let you know.

I have already bought three (to be sent to me) and to be honest thinking of getting two more.

I believe the "C" indicates a cartridge pen; the "S/1" mark is in the location typically occupied by the nib grade indicator, so it stands to reason that "S" indicates Stub, but it is unclear what the "1" means. Perhaps 1mm?

Yes the "C" is for cartridge, and the 1 meaning 1mm makes sense, will measure it once I have the pen.

The third pen from the right looks EXACTLY like my pen. I was flummoxed as I could not find the proper descriptions for a monochrome, 14K gold, flex, Triumph nib, but you have adroitly put that mystery to rest! Kudos Man, you get an ASSIST!
