Wahl Eversharp Adjustable Nib Repair

Hi ladies & gentlemen! I have a adjustable nib from a Doric but it hasn´t have the trim piece that adjust the wide. Recently I found (waiting it from mail) a broken nib adjustable. It is possibly put the trim from the broken nib to the other nib?? Thanks and excuse my poor school english.

I have had no luck moving the slider from one nib to another. The tabs that hold the sliders onto the nib tend to break off or the slider cracks in the thin corners.

It is possible to weld cracks in the tails and retip the nibs and I have had both done on nibs with good sliders.
