For the record I recently received a Camlin Elegante and I must say, it writes a smooth as any fine nibbed pen I have (I have a few...). The one I received had a convertor with a little slide device on the side.

It's a large size for a non-eyedropper pen, writes great, and I've been using it quite a bit the past few days and have nothing negative to say (and quite a few positive things.

Cost me $10 USD on ebay, and for a pen, it's the best $10 I think I've ever spent.

Ugh, that pen with that super uncomfortable grip. But then that is just me...

Yeah I agree the grip is not for everyone.. I find the PEN nice enough to be my daily writer.

And LAMY being one of the earliest fountain pen makers and one of the very few who still maintains their lineage without being taken over or sold has its attraction for me...

Sir,

would very much like to know what pens you finally landed with and your opinion of those pens, would be quite useful to new comers like me.

Thanks.
