Help Id Platinum Pocket Pens

Hi! I bought two NOS Platinum Pocket Pens yesterday. I hope you could help me ID them.

The Silver and Pink one has 18k stamped on the nib. The red one only has the P. Thanks very much!

Platinum usually identified pens by numbers.

 

If there is only a P on this nib, the nib is steel liklely a FINE.

Thanks Stan. Looks like it's not in the 70s catalog but it's most similar to the one in the lower left of the last picture. Do you have one from the 80s?

This is a catalogue from the 1970s, not a catalogue that spanned the entire ten years of the 1970s.

It was posted as illustrative of pens made by Platinum during that era.

 

Your pens might be slightly earlier than when this catalogue was printed.

 

Insofar as the models do not have names, what specific information do you seek.

I'm interested to know the model, even just the model number, and time of production. And is there a possibility that the nib that has 18k engraved is not really gold but just gold plated? I think it's already tarnished.

Suggest you write Platinum in Japan.

If the nib says 18K, it is 18K.

They may not answer your email. Unless you know someone there, regular mail is always best.
