Rosetta Coronado - Questions

Drone

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Who has (or had) the Rosetta Coronado Oversize fountain pen? I'm considering buying one to add to my black-tie pen collection, but I have a couple of pre-sale questions about posting. (I have fairly large hands and always write posted, so pens that don't post properly or are un-balanced when posted really bother me):

1. Does the pen post "squarely". What I mean is; if you post the cap, does it post securely and (most important) aligned with the barrel. My concern is that because the barrel is tapered, there will be a generic cap liner which will not post properly to the barrel without the user having to fiddle to re-align the cap and barrel.

2. How does the pen "feel" when writing posted? Is it top-heavy?

Thanks for any replies... David

This is an old thread, but here goes. I have this pen, and for some reason, I don't use it very much. The medium Schmidt nib doesn't do anything for me.

In any case, the pen does not post securely. Even if it did, it would be top heavy. The cap weighs 19 grams, and the pen, uncapped, 15 grams.

It should be noted the pen, uncapped, is 13 cm long.

Hope this helps.

Hi Dan, Thanks for the feedback; better late than never :) You seem to confirm my suspicions about this pen. Regards, David
