De Atramentis (Jensen) Myrrh

I got this bottle quite a few years ago from Goulet. I was mainly curious about the color - the smell, less so. (It is quite strong on the bottle, just not on the page)

It's quite a wet ink, and thus is prone to bleed on the worst of papers. It also isn't very water resistant. However, on friendly paper it behaves quite well. I used to like this ink quite a lot, but grew to detest the greenish cast in it. Still, it is a good shader and also sheens quite a nice pink.

I have a bottle of this. The scent reminds me of correction fluid.

I stupidly got a bottle of Myrrh and a bottle of Forget-me-not at the same time. Turns out they are exacting the same colour, only with different scents. Forget-me-not smells much better though.

Myrrh is one of HalloweenHJB's aptly named (and illustrated) Sheen Monsters.

This is NOT the color I expected from something called "myrrh". I was expecting a golden color!

 

It's gorgeous!
