Levenger Pomegranate

I have seen a few reviews for Levenger's Pomegranate ink, so I figured I would add some pics to show what the ink looks like at different times. I have a TWSBI mini that I inked today, a Pilot Prera that has been inked for about a week and a half, and a Hero 221 that has been inked for about a month. (I love the color of the ink- I don't like bright reds, so this ink is one that I love.) I have not experienced any issues with flow, so nothing has been added to any of my pens/ink. I noticed there is a nice gold sheen on the ink in the pens that have been inked for a bit longer. (I am going to see if I can figure out how long it takes before the TWSBI ink develops the same sheen.) The ink tends to darken a bit as it is in the pen, so the color you see when you first ink up might change after a day or two. I wrote on the paper in my Hobonichi Techo Avec for these photos.

I don't know a lot about Levenger inks, so it's good to see reviews of them. Any clue how this compares to the old Sailor Jentle Grenade?

I have Sailor Oku-Yama. They look similar. (The Lamy has a medium nib so it looks a lot lighter.)

Great review! I like the color of the ink a lot. Would you consider a "wetter" ink? Love the sheen and the way it shades.

I was able to acquire some from their website in cartridge form. Not ideal, but it was worth it! They still have them available too.

Levenger Pomegranate is one of my favorite inks. I always have a pen inked with it...usually a TWSBI or Pilot Prera. I find it to be very well behaved. Sad to see it discontinued.
