Well this has convinced me to acquire more KWZ inks.

And I'm sad that I was never able to get a bottle of the MB Tolstoy.

AndyYNWA, I think that's the DeAtramentis Steel Blue.

Yes.. DeA Steel Blue.... You can't mistake that for Diamine Steel Blue... VERY different.

Cheryl.. you can still find Tolstoy. I was looking for JFK for a friend and found Tolstoy was readily available, but not JFK. Go for it.

In price comparison, MB are dirt cheap. ;)

La Couronne du Comte has Tolstoy, I ordered it last week. They were waiting for a new delivery.

I have it like it and is a reminder of PPS, but doesn't have the same sheen or element of turquoise. But I think Lapis nature it in his comparison and I like it a lot. A lot of folks seem to try, but while oft imitated PPS has not been captured yet. None the less, this is a

great ink in my view.... It does share the dark blue richness though of PPS.

Hey, thanks for the review and I love the Inky!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

KWZ had a stand at the Tilburg pen show yesterday and they had a clever setup: they had rows and rows of identical pens ready, each filled with a KWZ ink. I tried a few and fell in love with Azure #5. It's a perfect match for the blue ca. 1960 Sheaffer PFM-3 that I found there.

In terms of flow, lubrication and an endless range of colour nuances, this is the only ink that I've found this far that rivals Waterman Mysterious Blue (which is a different colour, it has more teal in it).

If I matched inks to pen colors, this would probably look well coming out of my new M120 Iconic Blue. Although I'm more likely to want to put it in something with a broader nib than a M.... Oh, say, the Snorkel with the semi-flex stub....

Sigh. I reiterate the "and not" part from 2 years ago....
