Pentrace Announces Our 2016 Numbered Edition Fountain Pen.

This pen does have a resemblance to the Aleph, especially the nib and transparent feed, and if writes like the Aleph then it's a worthwhile buy.

I suppose it also uses a "captured converter" too, just like the Aleph and most other "piston filler" Marlens?

The factory tells me it's a real piston.

I have placed my deposit , and hoping for number 55.

It is a pity that the European buyers can't have pens shipped direct from Italy

Yes, isn't it (though realise it would be v difficult to do). But that's why I'm waiting to hear the price before ordering, as all pens bought from outside the EU seem to get caught for Customs charges these days, and with the Royal Mail handling charge it can add 50% to the price of your pen.

How did you place your deposit. By cheque? I can't see any addresses or easier way to pay such as paypal or credit cards and so forth.

Maybe I'm just having a "senior moment" !

And finally I got a reply, thank you Tryphon!

Still processing some final details for a shipment to my country... (much ironically, the pen is fully made in Europe, then travels to the USA, then again back to Europe, but with a lot of unnecessarily added taxes and fees).

Last request: my number should be #52, I only hope you FPNers won´t take it in the meantime, before I complete my reserve!

After much thought, I have finally made up my mind, and unfortunately I must disregard the purchase of this pen: the price of shipment to my country is too high, and besides the cost of Customs taxes makes the grand total 50% more expensive (!!!!) than a shipment to the USA.

And what really hurts is the fact that the pen is made here in Europe.

I wish you good luck, Giovanni and future owners of this green gem. I mean you USA residents and you who wish to spend anyway that amount, which would be enough for a solid gold nib pen of similar quality.
