Hero 332

I have had my eye on the Hero Fountain pens for some time. These were the staple pens during my school days. With a lot of sweet memories attached, I finally took the plunge and bought a new Hero 332 online on Ebay.

They are available quite easily and abundantly on Ebay for 180-250Rs (3-5$)

My quick review:

- the pen is still a delight to use, like in my school days

- the nib is a smooth F with a nice wet line. It sounds a bit scratchy but still writes a nice smooth line

- the sack style filling mechanism can be a pain at times - on my first fill i hardly got 2-3 pages as there was hardly any ink despite trying to fill 4-5 times using the metal press

On my second try i removed the metal cover and directly used the sack to fill it up and this time it does seem to have filled fully

- i like the covered nib style. A lot less messier on my fingers as I write. And nib is slightly misalligned with the feed but I can live with it for now.

- Nice light weight with a nice firm clip

- the cap fit is a bit loose. It can be powted, though I am a bit indifferent with the weight either ways.

Overall a nice, pocket friendly, daily use pen.
