I remember when the last order was made reading that Conid produced a few extra for FPN to have available for new orders. I'm not sure if those have been used up or not. If so you may have to wait since I think they try to make them in batches of 10+.

All pens have been sold now indeed.

We are busy figuring out what the best way forward is from here, and are in discussion with CONID about this, mostly in order to make delays in proiduction as small as possible.

More to follow hopefully by next weekend.

HTH, warm regards, Wim

A bit late to the party, but is every pen going to have those yellow streaks? Or can we ask for a piece with maximum blue?

Honestly, the yellow doesn't (for me) look good.

The FPN webstore says that the pen is sold out. So it's no longer available or just available via Conid website now?

On the Conid website they say that the orange version can stain if it comes into contact with ink. Does this happen with the stripey blue one too?

No, staining will not occur on the acrylic bleu/pearl material

The pen is actually only available on the Conid website.

Did anyone ever do a review on theirs.

I don't think i ever formally reviewed mine. The material is gorgeous. The blue, gold, and black are metallic, and depending on the batch can be very starkly defined or swirled together a bit. I have three pens now in this material, the Conid, a Monteverde Sequia and a custom Newton.

Any review you will find about the Kingsize will apply to the Blue Pearl. The only difference is the material and the custom nib work from wimg. Although now that the pen is ordered through Conid, maybe Conid will be doing the nib work. If that's the case, Johann of Conid does great work.

I don't think mine has gone more than a week without ink in it. I absolutely love mine.

Hi mauckog,

The nibs are now fine-tuned at Conid by Johan, who does marvelous nib work !

Happy reading you are happy !

I thought that the material Monteverde was using for those looked familiar! It's the exact same stuff?

The only difference i can see is the Conid has a thinner pattern to the colors where the Monteverdes color bands are thicker. Other than that they are the same. I left the newton at my parents house so it isn't here right now. :D
